Susan Davis, a Certified Green Building Professional & Certified GreenPoint Rater for New Homes, is co-owner with her husband & general contractor, of Spectrum Fine Homes, Inc., a residential remodeling firm located in the San Francisco Bay Area for twenty years. In She is an active member of NARI (the National Association of the Remodeling Industry), Build-It-Green, and the South Bay Green Professionals' Guild. Susan is passionate about education, and developed a program in 2006 called The Sustainable Building Forum, & has facilitated sessions each year, since. She was the 2009 recipient of the NARI National Harold Hammerman Spirit of Education Award, honored for her commitment to teaching Sustainable Design and Green Building to professionals in the design & building industry. Her passion for Sustainable Design & Building Green has influenced the direction of her company. Spectrum Fine Homes has made the commitment to promote design and building with techniques and products that do not adversely affect their clientshealth or the environment, and which increase the energy efficiency and comfort of their clients' homes. This emphasis has garnered both local and national awards and media attention for Spectrum's Green built homes. In 2010, Susan will be hosting a web-based radio show called Good and Green Radio on Conversation Radio at MediaOnTap.com, doing what she loves best - sharing her contacts and connections and spreading the word about living a Holistic Sustainable Lifestyle.
